Real Estate in Greater San Antonio with Kim Patterson
Kim Patterson is a REALTOR®, Director, and Coach with JLA Realty – Omnia Elevate, serving home buyers, sellers, investors, landlords, and tenants across Greater San Antonio — and developing the real estate agents and teams who serve them. If you are a licensed REALTOR® weighing your next move, a new agent building a foundation, or someone considering a career in real estate, this is where that conversation starts.
Three Ways Kim Serves Greater San Antonio
Local leadership in this region is not a recruiting title. Kim actively represents her own clients, coaches agents through real business problems, and introduces JLA Realty – Omnia Elevate to professionals who are evaluating where to build next.
Representing Buyers, Sellers & Investors
Kim continues to work directly with home buyers, sellers, real estate investors, landlords, and tenants throughout Greater San Antonio and the Texas Hill Country. She is a practicing REALTOR®, not a recruiter who left production years ago — which means her coaching reflects current contracts, current market conditions, and current client expectations.
Training & Coaching Agents and Teams
Kim trains, develops, and coaches both newly licensed and experienced real estate agents who want to strengthen their skills, mindset, systems, and careers. Her coaching background predates her real estate license by roughly a decade, and it shapes how she works through skill gaps, confidence, and business planning with the agents she supports.
Introducing Omnia Elevate to Professionals
Kim introduces JLA Realty – Omnia Elevate to REALTORS®, team leaders, and real estate teams who are considering a brokerage change and want an environment built around training, coaching, leadership access, collaboration, and growth. Those conversations are confidential, unhurried, and carry no obligation.
An Educator at Heart
Kim Patterson's path to real estate ran through the classroom. She spent approximately ten years in education, including serving as a special education teacher, and roughly another decade coaching others in mindset, success, and personal development. She has now been a licensed REALTOR® for eight years.
Between those chapters came an equally formative season. Kim chose to stay home with her two daughters while they were younger, balancing motherhood with several part-time jobs and small businesses. That combination — teacher, entrepreneur, coach, mother, and REALTOR® — is what shows up in how she leads and serves today.
One lesson from special education carried directly into her real estate practice: behavior is a language. In a transaction, frustration, hesitation, or a stalled decision usually has something underneath it. Sometimes it's hope. Sometimes it's fear. Very often it's simply not understanding what happens next. Kim listens for what a person is actually communicating, works to reach the root of the concern, and educates rather than pressures.
That approach holds whether she is helping someone purchase a first home, working through a difficult transaction, coaching an agent during a hard season, or talking with an experienced REALTOR® about the next chapter of a career.
Clients first. Integrity always.
Kim Patterson, REALTOR® Director & CoachFamily, Adventure & a Love for Travel
Family matters enormously to Kim. Her 26-year-old daughter lives nearby with Kim's 4-year-old granddaughter, in a home Kim had the privilege of helping her purchase. Her 31-year-old daughter lives in Dallas and is a flight attendant for Southwest Airlines. Kim also has two bonus daughters, one in Virginia and one in San Antonio.
Spend any time around Kim and you'll learn she loves to travel. She and her daughters have shared remarkable mother-daughter adventures — three trips to South Africa, along with Spain, Italy, and Machu Picchu. Her travels have also taken her to Russia and England, and she backpacked through Europe during college. With her husband she has traveled to Ireland, Mexico, Virginia, Washington, D.C., Hawaii, and on road trips across the United States. She's already planning another retreat for next year.
For someone this committed to personal growth, a life full of new experiences seems fitting. Kim was a majorette in high school, delivered singing telegrams in college — which helped her move past being an introvert — and went skydiving in her forties.
Why Experienced Agents Evaluate a Move
If you have been producing for years, "why would I change brokerages?" is the right question to ask — and it deserves a real answer rather than a pitch. Most experienced agents who evaluate a change aren't unhappy. They've simply outgrown an arrangement that was built for a different stage of their business.
Choosing a brokerage is a business decision, not a recruiting decision. The agents who make that decision well tend to look past a single number and evaluate the complete model: what they pay, what they receive, who they can actually reach when something goes wrong, and whether the environment still supports where their business is headed over the next three to five years.
What Experienced Agents Actually Compare
Keep the Business You've Already Built
One of the most common concerns experienced producers raise is the fear of starting over. Subject to applicable brokerage policies, MLS and association rules, and any agreements you may already have in place, changing brokerages does not require rebuilding your business from scratch.
- Keep your personal brand and the name your clients already know.
- Keep your database and the relationships inside it.
- Keep your website, domain, and marketing systems.
- Keep your CRM — technology is available, not mandated.
- Keep the lead-generation strategy that already works for you.
Change the brokerage, not the business you spent years building.
You May Not Need to Change Brokerages
Changing brokerages is not automatically the answer, and any organization that tells you otherwise is selling rather than advising.
If your current brokerage delivers the economics, leadership, support, culture, technology, training, and opportunity you need to reach your goals, there may be no compelling reason to leave. That is a legitimate outcome of an honest conversation, and Kim will tell you so.
But businesses change. Brokerages change. Agents change. The brokerage that fit your business three years ago may or may not be the one that best supports where you are headed next. The invitation here is simple: compare. Run the numbers on your current arrangement, look honestly at what you are receiving for them, and make an informed decision either way.
If you are currently party to an exclusive agreement with another brokerage, nothing on this page is intended to interfere with that agreement or to induce you to breach it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Omnia Elevate a real estate brokerage?
No. Omnia Elevate is an agent development organization within JLA Realty, not a brokerage. JLA Realty (Universal Home Solutions, LLC) is the licensed Texas real estate brokerage, and all brokerage services are provided by JLA Realty. Omnia Elevate provides coaching, training, mentorship, marketing support, and agent development to professionals brokered by JLA Realty.
Who leads Omnia Elevate in the San Antonio area?
Kim Patterson serves as REALTOR® Director & Coach for Greater San Antonio and the Texas Hill Country. She provides local leadership, coaches agents and teams in the region, and continues to serve her own clients as a practicing REALTOR®. Organizational leadership and coaching come from Jeremy Williams, Founder & Leader of Omnia Elevate, and brokerage leadership from John Altic, Broker/Owner of JLA Realty.
Does JLA Realty – Omnia Elevate serve agents outside San Antonio proper?
Yes. Members are supported throughout Greater San Antonio and the surrounding Texas Hill Country, including Alamo Heights, Boerne, Cibolo, Converse, Helotes, Leon Valley, New Braunfels, Schertz, Seguin, and Universal City. JLA Realty also has offices across Texas — you can review them on the locations page.
What does it cost to be an agent here?
Commission structures, caps, and applicable fees are outlined on the commission and fees page, and Kim will walk through the complete structure with you directly — including the costs that are easy to overlook when comparing brokerages. Compensation arrangements are established by the brokerage and may change; nothing on this page should be treated as a fixed or guaranteed offer.
Can I keep my existing CRM, website, and personal brand?
Generally yes, subject to applicable brokerage policies and any MLS, association, or TREC advertising requirements that apply to your marketing. Technology is made available rather than mandated, and experienced agents are not required to abandon systems they have already invested in. Kim can walk through the specifics of your setup.
Can newly licensed agents join, or only experienced producers?
Both. New agents receive structured development covering contracts, database building, lead generation, buyer and seller representation, negotiation, and compliance. Experienced agents typically come for the economics, leadership access, coaching, and the freedom to keep operating the business they've already built. What is offered is development — no brokerage can guarantee production or income.
Can real estate teams join, and does our structure have to change?
Teams are welcome. Existing team models are evaluated with leadership based on how the team already operates, rather than forced into a single template. Questions about team caps, branding, systems, and support for the team leader are best discussed directly — those conversations depend on the specifics of your business.
Are leads provided?
No brokerage or organization can promise leads or income, and none are guaranteed here. What is provided is training in lead generation, database development, follow-up, and conversion — the skills that produce your own pipeline. Marketing resources and tools are available to members to support those efforts.
What happens to my listings and pending transactions if I change brokerages in Texas?
Listings are generally held by the brokerage rather than the individual agent, and the handling of active listings and pending transactions depends on your current brokerage's policies, your agreements with that brokerage, and applicable MLS and association rules. You would also need to transfer your license with TREC and update your MLS and association records. The brokerage-switching guide covers the process, and Kim can talk through what applies to your situation before you make any decision.
What if I'm currently happy where I am?
Then you may not need to change anything, and Kim will tell you that. If your current brokerage delivers the economics, leadership, support, and opportunity your business requires, staying is a perfectly sound decision. The purpose of the conversation is to give you an accurate comparison, not to talk you out of a relationship that's working.
Is the conversation confidential?
Yes. Conversations with Kim are handled discreetly and carry no obligation. Many agents talk with her months or even years before making any decision — and some never make one, which is a completely acceptable outcome.
I'm not licensed yet. Can I still reach out?
Absolutely. Kim regularly speaks with people who are currently in pre-licensing classes, hold an inactive license, or are simply exploring whether real estate is the right fit. Given her decade in education and decade in coaching, those early conversations are some of the ones she enjoys most.
