Many real estate professionals are familiar with DISC personality assessments. Jeff Shealey brought a fresh and engaging approach by simplifying communication styles into four memorable behavioral categories:

Fighter

Fast-paced, decisive, competitive, and results-oriented.

Fighters tend to move quickly, appreciate direct communication, and often want answers without unnecessary details.

Entertainer

Outgoing, energetic, social, and relationship-driven.

Entertainers often enjoy connection, stories, and experiences. They value enthusiasm and engagement.

Counselor

Supportive, patient, relationship-focused, and caring.

Counselors typically value trust, security, and personal connection before making decisions.

Detective

Analytical, detailed, logical, and process-oriented.

Detectives generally want information, facts, and details before moving forward.

While the categories made the concepts easy to understand, the larger lesson centered around adaptability.

The most effective agents are not communicating only from their own style. They learn to identify the behavioral tendencies of clients and prospects and adjust their approach accordingly.
