THRIVE Training Recap: BoldTrail, Systems & Relationship Marketing
THRIVE · In-Person Training Recap

Our latest THRIVE in-person training was much more than a class. It was a reminder that successful real estate businesses are built through consistent systems, meaningful relationships, personal growth, and a willingness to put in the work. Held at University Title Company in The Woodlands, Texas, the session delivered practical strategies that every REALTOR® can start using immediately.

Led by Theresa and Robby Almogabar, the training — titled "What's in Your Briefcase?" — focused on two pillars of a thriving real estate business: building repeatable systems using technology, and developing the confidence, habits, and relationships that create long-term success.

A special thank you to Staci Neves, Sr. Business Development Executive with University Title Company, for graciously hosting this event at University Title Company, 1400 Woodloch Forest Drive, Suite 170, The Woodlands, TX 77380. Her hospitality and continued support of the real estate community created a space where agents could learn, collaborate, and grow together.

For agents at JLA Realty – Omnia Elevate, the session showcased one of the many advantages of belonging to a brokerage that invests in its people through education, coaching, accountability, and industry-leading technology.

Technology

BoldTrail: One of Real Estate's Most Powerful CRM Platforms

A major portion of the training centered on BoldTrail, formerly known as kvCORE. Many agents think of BoldTrail as a customer relationship management (CRM) platform, but Robby demonstrated that it is far more than a database of contacts — it is designed to become the operating system of a REALTOR®'s business, helping agents automate follow-up, stay connected with clients, and build the relationships that generate repeat business and referrals.

BoldTrail's features include:

  • CRM and contact management
  • Smart Campaigns with automated email and text marketing
  • Lead management and pipeline tracking
  • Property alerts and client search portals
  • Task reminders and website integration
  • AI-powered tools and full mobile access

For JLA Realty – Omnia Elevate agents, this platform is available for just $50 per month — enterprise-level technology at an affordable investment. Instead of wondering who to follow up with next, agents can build systems that consistently keep them in front of their sphere of influence all year long.

Smart Campaigns That Keep Relationships Alive

Rather than talking theory, Robby walked attendees through real campaigns his team actively uses — practical examples agents can adapt right away.

Closed Client Campaign

Many REALTORS® stop communicating once a transaction closes. Successful agents understand that closing day is exactly when the relationship should begin. A structured Closed Client Smart Campaign keeps agents connected with buyers and sellers through ongoing communication, so they remain the trusted real estate resource long after the sale.

Thank-You Templates and Review Requests

Online reviews play a major role in today's consumer decisions. Robby showed how his team uses templates to thank clients sincerely while naturally inviting an online review after a successful closing. Instead of sounding like a sales pitch, these messages express genuine gratitude and make it easy for happy clients to share their experience — building credibility, improving local search visibility, and creating trust before a future client ever picks up the phone.

Annual Home Anniversary Emails

One of the most memorable automations was the annual Home Purchase Anniversary email. Each year, clients receive a thoughtful message celebrating the anniversary of buying their home. It's a simple gesture that many homeowners never expect — and a consistent reminder that they're valued relationships, not just past transactions.

Professionalism

What's Really in Your Briefcase?

Theresa Almogabar shifted the conversation from technology to professionalism. Every REALTOR® carries tools into an appointment, but the most important items aren't physical. Preparation, knowledge, confidence, and professionalism are what truly belong in every REALTOR®'s briefcase. Whether you're meeting a buyer, a seller, or an investor, showing up prepared demonstrates competence and builds trust from the very first minute.

Confidence Comes Through Repetition

One of Theresa's most impactful messages spoke to something every agent experiences: nervousness, anxiety, and the fear of making mistakes. Her advice was simple — get the reps. Confidence isn't something you wait to receive; it's something you earn through repetition. Every listing presentation, buyer consultation, open house, contract, and conversation builds experience, and experience develops confidence.

Replace Self-Doubt with Confidence

Theresa also challenged agents to stop letting self-doubt dictate their actions. Many REALTORS® delay making calls, scheduling appointments, or presenting opportunities because they don't feel ready. The truth is that confidence follows action. As agents keep practicing, learning, and serving clients, belief in their abilities naturally grows. The most successful agents weren't born confident — they became confident by consistently taking action.

Feeling Stuck? Add a Little Hustle

When business feels stagnant, the answer isn't always another marketing tool or a new lead source. Sometimes the solution is surprisingly simple: add a little hustle. That might mean making more phone calls, reconnecting with past clients, following up more consistently, attending networking events, asking for referrals, or scheduling more appointments. Success often comes from doing the fundamentals well, again and again.

Relationships

The Letter of the Heart: Marketing That Builds Relationships

Perhaps the most meaningful part of the training came when Robby and Theresa shared what they call the Letter of the Heart. Unlike a newsletter or promotional email, a Letter of the Heart is deeply personal. It's written with genuine appreciation — it encourages, thanks, reconnects, and reminds someone they matter. In real estate, relationship marketing is about more than staying visible; it's about staying meaningful.

A Letter of the Heart can be written to a past client, a referral partner, a friend or family member, a prospective client, someone celebrating a milestone, or someone walking through a difficult season. These letters aren't written to ask for business — they're written because relationships matter. Ironically, those authentic connections often become the foundation for future referrals and lifelong clients.

The Challenge

Before leaving, Robby and Theresa challenged every agent to write and send one Letter of the Heart before the end of the month. One sincere letter. One meaningful relationship. One intentional act of gratitude. Sometimes the smallest gestures leave the greatest impact.

The Bigger Picture

Why Trainings Like THRIVE Matter

The session reinforced an important truth about real estate success: technology alone doesn't build businesses, relationships alone aren't enough, and neither is hard work by itself. Long-term success happens when all three work together — smart technology, proven systems, and genuine relationships. Add consistency, confidence, and a willingness to keep improving, and agents position themselves to build businesses that serve clients well for years to come.
